What it is about

Arnold is a middle-aged mouse caught in an existential crisis. His marriage is falling apart, his life feels meaningless, and he begins to suspect that everything around him is a grand illusion. When his best friend dies under suspicious circumstances, Arnold becomes convinced that something is not right. What begins as a creeping paranoia turns into a desperate ight toward something that might, just might, resemble freedom.

What to expect

Everything in Arnold’s world is starting to feel staged — his marriage, his friendships, even the ground under his feet. Alberto Vázquez’s animated feature, expanded from his own short, follows this middle‑aged mouse as suspicion hardens into desperation after a friend’s death. The movie plays its conspiracy in a low, off‑kilter register, leaning into existential dread rather than chase scenes. It runs 96 minutes, carries a IIB certificate, and screens in Spanish with Chinese subtitles. In Hong Kong it is showing at only one cinema and one district; across the next seven days there are just three sessions. The cheapest ticket is HK$80.
