What to expect

Two long-running idol anime series share a screen for the first time in a brisk 75-minute crossover. Akari Ōzora from Aikatsu and Laala Manaka from Pripara headline a joint live festival that gets interrupted by trouble brewing outside the venue. The movie moves fast, leans hard on song-and-dance numbers, and assumes you already know the characters — newcomers will pick up the cheerful tone but not much backstory. It plays in Japanese with Chinese subtitles, exclusively at Broadway Cinemas from 29 October 2026. No certificate has been published yet, so parents of very young children should hold off until the rating is confirmed.
