The verdict

There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is playing 11 times at 4 cinemas across 4 districts, from HK$60 to HK$100 depending on cinema and time. The cheapest seat is at B+ cinema apm (Kwun Tong) in Kwun Tong, HK$60. 93 minutes.

What it is about

As a new 10,000-yen banknote featuring the Touto Tower design is issued and the nation is swept up in excitement, Conan and the Junior Detective League, accompanied by Professor Agasa, Ran, and Sonoko, visit the Nagano factory of the Japan Banknote Printing Bureau. Meanwhile, counterfeit money is discovered at the scene of a murder in Tokyo, prompting the Metropolitan Police Department to establish an investigation headquarters. As the unprecedented circulation of counterfeit new banknotes throws the public into confusion, Conan and Heiji head to Osaka, where the counterfeit money is believed to have been printed.

What to expect

A new 10,000-yen note triggers a forgery case that pulls Conan from a Nagano printing bureau visit to a murder scene in Tokyo, then on to Osaka with Heiji. The 93-minute runtime keeps the investigation moving without overcomplicating the trail of clues. The tone sits in the series’ comfortable middle ground — enough misdirection to hold attention, not so grim that it alienates younger viewers. In Hong Kong it screens in Japanese with English and Chinese subtitles across 4 cinemas in 4 districts, with 11 showings over the next week; the cheapest ticket is HK$60.
