The verdict
There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is not currently playing in Hong Kong cinemas. 115 minutes.
What it is about
What to expect
James Gray sets this 1980s Queens crime story inside the two brothers' heads, not in the gunfire. Adam Driver and Miles Teller play siblings who take a shortcut that lands them in debt to the Russian mafia, and the movie tracks how that pressure warps every conversation between them. Scarlett Johansson appears as the wife caught in the fallout. Gray keeps the pace deliberate and the palette muted — this is a domestic collapse dressed in mob-world clothes, not a thriller. The 115-minute runtime is spent on silences and small betrayals rather than set-pieces. It opens in Hong Kong on 17 September 2026, playing in English with Chinese subtitles. As an independent production it may not book every multiplex, but major houses are expected to carry it. The organised-crime and family-conflict material points to a mature-audience certificate.
