The verdict

There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is not currently playing in Hong Kong cinemas. 90 minutes.

What it is about

In rural France, Christophe (10) tries to live up to his rigid and distant father on the family farm. But the young boy starts to lean over and collapse without warning — on the tractor, at school, at dinner... A doctor finds the solution: Christophe must wear an iron corset to keep himself upright. Forced to reinvent his life away from the farm, Christophe discovers a new passion for music, meets a new friend, and follows her into his first mischief. But will any of this really fix what is out of balance?

What to expect

Ten-year-old Christophe lives on a family farm in rural France, trying to meet the expectations of a stern father. Then he starts collapsing without warning — on the tractor, in class, at the dinner table. A doctor’s answer is an iron corset that forces him upright, and the device pushes him off the farm into a new routine where music and a friendship draw him into his first small acts of rebellion. The movie keeps its stakes intimate and its tone dry rather than sentimental, letting the strangeness of the corset sit alongside ordinary school and village life without over-explaining. At 90 minutes it is a compact watch, and the French dialogue comes with traditional Chinese and English subtitles. The Hong Kong release is 17 September 2026. No IMAX or premium-format screenings are confirmed; expect a standard run across arthouse venues and a handful of commercial multiplexes. Check listings closer to the date.
