There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is not currently playing in Hong Kong cinemas. Category III · 117 minutes.
What to expect
Xiaodan He’s drama moves between Montreal and Beijing, following a Chinese immigrant family as old decisions surface. Joan Chen plays the mother, and the movie leans on her presence—long takes, quiet interiors, and a pace that gives the actors room. It is playing twice this week at a single venue as part of HKLGFF 2026, so the window is narrow. The certificate is Category III (no one under 18). Only English subtitles are provided; there are no Chinese subtitles. Tickets from HK$250.
