Director Indra Villaseñor Amador shoots this reunion in a register closer to a sun-bleached hangout than a crime thriller: long takes, ambient sound, the weight of what goes unsaid. At 83 minutes the movie never overstays its welcome, though its restraint will frustrate anyone waiting for a conventional payoff.
