What it is about
On an usual day, something unusual happens in a paid TV station… Dak bursts into the customer service department and taking hostages. It turns out Dak doesn’t want money but to “terminate the TV subscription service”, while Inspector Shan suspects Dak may be a terrorist in disguise and is ready to deploy the SWAT team… The hostages understand that the cancellation procedure is complicated, and turns out helping Dak by calling hotlines and filling forms. Dak loses his patience and demands to speak to the Boss of the TV company, and the incident ends very unexpectedly.
What to expect
A man walks into a paid-TV customer service centre and takes hostages. His demand is not cash — he wants to cancel his subscription. The inspector outside treats it as a terrorist incident and readies the SWAT team, while the people inside, realising how maddening the cancellation process is, start helping him fill out forms and work the hotlines. The movie runs 109 minutes, is rated IIB, and opens 18 June 2026 in Cantonese with English and Chinese subtitles. It plays at two cinemas in one district, with three screenings over the next seven days; the cheapest ticket is HK$70.
