What to expect
A woman lands at JFK and gets into a cab to Midtown. The driver talks. She talks back. For the next 100 minutes, Christy Hall’s debut keeps the camera inside that taxi with Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn, letting the ride become a long, unforced exchange of stories and half-admissions. The movie doesn’t chase twists or set-pieces; it’s built around the rhythm of two people feeling each other out, and it works best if you’re in the mood for something closer to a two-character play than a plot-driven drama. The Hong Kong release is a bcSunday title, screening only on Sundays at Broadway Cinematheque venues. It is rated IIB (not suitable for persons under 18) and carries Chinese subtitles.
