The verdict

There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is playing 4 times at 4 cinemas across 4 districts, from HK$110 to HK$130 depending on cinema and time. The cheapest seat is at GALA CINEMA (Langham Place) in Mong Kok, HK$110. Category IIA · 101 minutes.

What it is about

Jesse and Celine star as two young people who meet--and whose lives are forever changed--on a train. They may have only one night, but when soul mates find each other, anything can happen Before Sunrise.

What to expect

Richard Linklater and Tahmineh Bahram co-direct this reworking of Before Sunrise, with Navid Mohammadzadeh and Ethan Hawke as the strangers who meet on a train and spend one night walking and talking through a city. The movie keeps the original’s talky, unhurried rhythm—long takes, long conversations, not much else—so it lives or dies on whether the two leads hold the screen. Julie Delpy returns in a different role. At 101 minutes and a IIA certificate, it is playing in only two cinemas across two districts this week, with three screenings in total. Chinese subtitles are on every print. The cheapest ticket is HK$110. The run is small enough that it may vanish after a few days, so anyone curious should check times early.
