What to expect
Richard Linklater co-directs this Persian-language reimagining of his own 1995 talk-piece, transplanting the one-night Vienna walkabout to a fresh cast led by Navid Mohammadzadeh and Sara Bahrami. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy also appear, but the focus stays on two strangers circling each other through conversation — no set-pieces, no contrived obstacles, just the slow pull of attraction against a ticking clock. At 101 minutes it is compact for a movie that lives entirely in its dialogue. Rated IIA in Hong Kong, with Chinese subtitles. Opens 6 September 2026; check listings, as it is playing a limited run.
