What to expect

Toe Yuen and Matthew Chow direct this 84-minute animated Sherlock Holmes feature, screening as part of anifest 2026 from 26 August. The story adapts a local children's book series and centres on a jail-break pursuit, played for slapstick and light suspense rather than anything darker. Rated Category I, it is open to all ages. Cantonese dialogue comes with English and Chinese subtitles, so non-Cantonese speakers can follow along. Check individual cinemas for showtimes — this is a festival programme, not a wide release.
