What to expect

The Chiikawa movie lands in Hong Kong as a limited run this September, screening in Japanese with Chinese subtitles. This particular session is a 'Hi Bye Meet & Greet' event, so the ticket buys a brief character appearance alongside the 99-minute feature. The movie itself is a gentle, straightforward animated quest helmed by Kei Oikawa; it carries a Category I rating, meaning no age restrictions, and at 99 minutes it sits comfortably within the attention span of younger viewers. The voice cast includes Haruka Aoki, Makoto Tanaka, Ari Ozawa, Yuka Iguchi, Takayuki Asai, and Yuma Uchida. Because this is a limited engagement, it will not play at every cinema — check listings for the venues carrying it and book early.
