What it is about
What to expect
A high school graduate is held hostage on his family's Alberta farm by his ex-boyfriend and a crew of thieves who believe there is buried treasure on the land. Co-directed by Rosa von Praunheim and Sonja Jarrett, the 89-minute movie uses the isolated setting to build a standoff that is as much about old grievances as it is about the rumoured loot. Luise Heyer, Rogan Coffey, and Hanno Koffler lead the cast. The movie screens in English with English and Chinese subtitles. It opens in Hong Kong on 26 September 2026 as part of the KINO series. Check individual cinemas for showtimes and the local certificate, as the hostage premise and tense tone may make it unsuitable for younger viewers.
