What it is about
What to expect
Kim Jong-kwan sets four conversations at the same café, somewhere between summer and autumn, and that is the whole movie. Two people keep arriving at different times and missing each other; two old school friends run into each other after years; a web novelist meets a movie director for the first time; an idol trainee and her boyfriend grab a quiet moment together. No one declares anything, no one runs through an airport. The camera stays close to the actors — Kim Min-ha, Joo Jong-hyuk, Han Sun-hwa, Chang Ryul, Shim Eun-kyung — and lets small pauses do the work. At 80 minutes it is closer to a short-story collection than a feature, and it leans entirely on dialogue and glances. It screens as part of the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, so it will not show up in a regular cinema run. Korean audio, English subtitles. No certificate is listed; the material is mild throughout.
