What to expect
Max Webster, who directed the stage version of Life of Pi, gives Wilde’s comedy a physical, playful makeover without touching the dialogue. The result is a 170-minute NT Live recording that leans into slapstick and contemporary gags while the text does its usual work skewering Victorian manners.
