What it is about
Young Nico is a tech-savvy, hyper-connected kid. When his babysitter takes time off to get married, he is forced to spend the summer holiday in Sicily with his solitary, religious, and eccentric aunt. In a world without Wi-Fi, navigating the gap between modernity and the past, speed and slowness, Nico stares at the portrait of Jesus on the wall, explores his aunt’s past, and shares secrets with the girl next door. He gradually learns to find joy in his own company, ultimately forging an unexpected bond with his aunt that neither knew they needed.
