The verdict
There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is not currently playing in Hong Kong cinemas. Category IIA · 257 minutes.
What to expect
A one-day double-bill built around Madoka Kaname’s birthday, pairing Rebellion and its direct sequel Walpurgis no Kaiten. Rebellion follows Homura Akemi fighting alone in a world Madoka’s sacrifice rewrote; Walpurgis no Kaiten picks up from the fallout of Homura becoming a “demon” driven by that same longing. Across 257 minutes the series’ signature mix of magical-girl action and psychological dread stays front and centre — expect the tone to stay bleak and character-driven rather than celebratory. Rated IIA. Screening October 3, 2026. Check individual cinemas for session times, formats and subtitle details.
