Natsuki (Kitagawa Keiko), hounded by loan sharks, fled to Tokyo. One night, while struggling to even find food to eat the next day, she witnesses a drug deal and decides to become a drug dealer herself. Then, a lonely martial artist named Tamae (Morita Misato) appears before Natsuki and offers to act as her bodyguard.
What to expect
Eiji Uchida (Midnight Swan) directs this 124-minute drama set over a single night in Tokyo. Natsuki (Kitagawa Keiko), broke and running from loan sharks, witnesses a drug deal and decides to become a dealer herself. Tamae (Morita Misato), a solitary martial artist, appears and offers to act as her bodyguard. The movie runs on the friction between Natsuki's desperation and Tamae's guarded stillness, with the two leads carrying the story through encounters with the city's night-time economy.
