The verdict
There are not yet enough audience votes to give this a reliable score. It is not currently playing in Hong Kong cinemas. 86 minutes.
What it is about
Present-day Taipei. Tao, consumed by an inexplicable affection for the indifferent Shin, seeks to preserve their bond through pain. Meanwhile, Melih, a former Istanbul resident running a noodle shop, receives an unexpected flower from the perpetually drunk Ping. As he fixates on the flower, he becomes entangled in Tao's story, reflecting on his own struggles with human connection. Through these intertwined narratives, the film examines the fragility of memory and the ways we attempt to hold onto, or let go of the past.

What to expect
Wong Ka Ki’s 86-minute drama sets two parallel stories in present-day Taipei, both circling the gap between what we want from other people and what we actually get. Tao clings to the indifferent Shin, while Melih, an Istanbul transplant running a noodle shop, becomes quietly obsessed with a flower left by Ping, a regular who is rarely sober. The movie moves at a deliberate pace and stays close to its four leads, relying on small gestures and what goes unsaid. It is playing as part of HKAFF, so screenings are limited. In Chinese with English and traditional Chinese subtitles. No certificate is listed; check with the venue if you are bringing younger viewers.
