What it is about

One summer, strange phenomena are reported across Japan. The Nohara family travels to Hiroshi's hometown in Akita for a visit. While preparing for the trip, a mysterious shadow secretly watches Shin-chan playing monster pretend games. After arriving, Shin-chan finds flyers for "Yokai Village" with "Chocobi All-You-Can-Eat!" and begs the family to go. On the way, they wander deep into remote mountains and accidentally stumble into a strange space — the entrance to the "Land of Yokai," a realm forbidden to humans. Can Shin-chan and his family survive their biggest crisis ever and make it back to the human world?

What to expect

Shin-chan drags the Nohara family to a "Yokai Village" after spotting a flyer promising unlimited Chocobi, and the detour lands them in a realm humans are barred from entering. The 101‑minute movie plays the premise for slapstick rather than scares — the yokai are more mischievous than menacing, and the comedy stays broad enough that the Category I rating feels right. Masaki Watanabe directs a Cantonese‑dubbed version with English and Chinese subtitles. Over the next seven days it has 63 screenings across 10 cinemas in 9 districts; the cheapest seat is HK$55.
